The Trust Ledger Project Series

What happens when intelligence becomes abundant?

When machine-generated intelligence becomes abundant, the economic question changes. How do we turn what can be known into judgment that people can trust, act on, and stand behind?

I examine that question through the history of economic exchange, the trust infrastructure that sustains it, and the signals emerging across today's Information Market.

Abundance creates potential. What makes it usable?

Every economic era has organised exchange around a form of abundance. Each arrangement depended on ways to establish confidence between people who needed to transact. The current Information Market presents that question in a new form.

The central inquiry

Who can stand behind what intelligence makes possible?

Intelligence supplies possibilities. Context helps establish what those possibilities mean in a particular situation.

Judgment determines what deserves action. Standards, accountability, and trust help other people assess whether that judgment can be relied upon.

My inquiry follows the conditions under which these elements can work together, and who may create or capture value when they do.

History gives us a way to test the present.

I approach the Information Market through a recurring question: what changes when a new form of abundance meets the arrangements people rely on to exchange value?

A question under examination

Is Judgment becoming the defining economic challenge?

Abundant intelligence expands what people can generate, compare, and consider. Economic outcomes still depend on what people and institutions can interpret, verify, decide, and carry into action.

I am examining whether the historical record and present evidence support the proposition that Judgment Economy describes an emerging economic condition. The conclusion must be earned through the research.

The work begins with the record, follows the evidence, and leaves room for findings that challenge the initial reading.

The conversation

Where does this inquiry meet your work?

If you are responsible for decisions in a sovereign institution, a private organisation, a research programme, or a new undertaking, I welcome a conversation about the questions emerging in your field.
