The Acacia Initiative Trust | Judgment Economy Development Center

The Acacia Initiative Trust | Judgment Economy Development Center
The Acacia Initiative Trust

A development center for the Judgment Economy.

Proposed, currently forming

GreenDeveX builds the tools. The Acacia Initiative Trust is the proposed institution that would hold the standards, governance, and research those tools need to be trusted at scale, the way a standards body outlives any one company that uses its standards.

Not a company

A development center behaves differently than a company does.

A company optimises for its own growth and answers to shareholders. A development center optimises for the ecosystem’s growth and answers to a mandate. That difference in structure is deliberate: the standards and protocols this work depends on need to outlast any single product cycle, or any single founder.

A company
A development center
Sells a product
Builds public infrastructure
Optimises for its own growth
Optimises for the ecosystem’s growth
Answers to shareholders
Answers to a mandate
Moves as fast as one team
Moves as carefully as trust requires
The mandate

Four functions, one purpose: make trust transferable.

The Trust’s work spans research, standards, pilots, and governance, the same four functions any credible standards body eventually needs.

 • Research into how understanding and judgment can be classified, verified, and moved across institutional boundaries
 • Standards that let different organisations recognise the same category of expertise the same way
 • Pilots run with early institutional and government partners, bounded in scope, evaluated on evidence
 • Governance that keeps the standards accountable as the ecosystem around them grows
